Pastor of Preaching, Vision, & Leadership Development
Brandon Morrow serves Good News Community Church as the Pastor of Preaching, Vision, & Leadership Development. He’s a graduate of Sterling College, Rawlings School of Divinity, has completed graduate studies with Lincoln Christian University, and is receiving his Doctor of Ministry from Portland Seminary under the direction of Dr. Leonard Sweet. He enjoys reading a good book, long-sleeve shirts, and is currently perfecting the fine art of conversation, and beard growing. Brandon joined the Good News family in 2017 and lives in Spirit Lake with his wife, Erica, and their two boys.
Anthony Parrott and his wife Emily are the proud parents of Audrey. They both hail from northern Indiana, so they're used to snow, just not all of this Iowa wind! Anthony studied classical piano for 6 years before getting his bachelor of arts in Biblical Studies, Ministry, and Philosophy from Bethel College, Indiana and a Masters of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary.
As Director of Community Formation, Anthony leads the leaders of our Missional Communities and small groups, helping people find friends and compatriots as they connect, serve, and grow together in Christ.
Steve Petty serves as Director of Family Ministries with Good News Community Church. He joined the staff in November 2015 bringing with him 15 years of ministry experience working with children, teens, and families. He and his wife, Krista, have three kids; Kayla, married and mother of two boys; Jenna, a cadet at the Air Force Academy; and Ryan, a student at Point Park University in Pittsburgh.
Steve has worked closely with families over the years and is a certified instructor of Parenting with Love and Logic.
“It is my goal to provide an environment where kids are excited about learning God’s Word and want to bring their family and their friends. So we want to build a team of people that care about kids and dream big about how to reach out to younger parts of our community.”
Administration & Finance
Kelli serves as administrative support for the church and staff of Good News, as well as oversees the financial transactions of the church. She grew up in Spirit Lake, received a degree in communications and moved away to be a TV news reporter. After starting a family, Kelli and her husband, Larry, moved back to the area to be close to family. They have two children, Rebekah, a writer living in Texas, and Michael, an actor in Chicago. Some of Kelli's favorite things to do include listening to and singing worship music, reading novels, and trying new recipes after watching The Food Network! Psalm 86:11
