As Community Formation Pastor, Anthony leads the leaders of our Missional Communities and small groups, helping people find friends and compatriots as they connect, serve, and grow together in Christ.

WORSHIP PASTOR: Brennon Kok brennon@gncconline.com Brennon serves as the Worship Pastor with Good News Community Church. He joined the Good News staff in April 2018. He is currently pursuing a Masters of Arts in Worship Degree at Northern Seminary. Brennon and his wife, Jordyn, are originally from Randolph, WI. They now reside in Milford with their two children Elijah and Elyse. You can find him enjoying carpentry, playing/writing music, getting tired out with a good pick-up game of basketball at the Okoboji YMCA or with Elijah, and spending time with Jordyn and the kids. Worship isn’t just singing songs and raising a hand…whether it’s the “carrying the tv”, “my fish was this big”, “here, hold my baby”, “fixing the light bulb”, “goal posts”, or more. Worship is declaring our dependence on God and submitting to His will.

Elders

Elders are chosen members of spiritual discernment, exemplary life, charitable spirit, and wisdom grounded in God’s Word. Elders, together with the pastors, are to have supervision of the church entrusted to them. They are to study God’s Word, to oversee the household of faith, to encourage spiritual growth, to maintain loving discipline, and to provide for the proclamation of the gospel and the celebration of the sacraments. Elders exercise an oversight over the conduct of one another, of the deacons, and of the lead pastor. They assist the lead pastor with their good counsel and in the task of visitation.

Deacons

Deacons are chosen members of spiritual commitment, exemplary life, compassionate spirit, and sound judgment, who are set apart for a ministry of mercy, service, and outreach. They are to receive the contributions of the congregation and to distribute them under the direction of the leadership team. The deacons give particular attention and care to the whole benevolence program of the church. They have charge of all gifts contributed for the benefit of the poor and distribute them with discretion. They visit and comfort those in material need.
